Seeking Lead Developer

We are creating some truly amazing solutions around an online collaborative global monitoring platform to capture, collect, analyze and report data on environmental conditions around the world with the purpose to help flight global warming. Problems we face for designing, building and implementing such effective solutions open up some rich areas of thought and and demand for super intense ability for speedy implementation. As we embark upon the very beginning stages for producing this platform,we need an experienced individual with an extensive background in building platforms for Social neetworking and media environments. Y You will help the firm on a contract basis for development. This could lead to a permanent position in the future.

You will lead the way to help design and implement back-end development and programming for the website. You must show extensive knowledge and experience with PHP by providing examples/portfolio of work.



Qualifications


* PHP development (or Ruby on Rails)

* OOP experience

* Extensive experience with architecture / design patterns

* Experience with database implementation: MySQL or similar

* Code standards

* Data services integration: XML, JSON, SOAP, etc.

* Problem solving

* Debugging

* Quality testing

* Knowledge and experience with REST

* Writing (for team / client communication, documentation, comments, etc)

* Verbal communication and interpersonal skills for team / client interaction

* High level understanding of social networking platform products / libraries

* High level understanding of server development and databases

* Competent understanding of HTML, JS, CSS

* Community awareness (online resources, frameworks, etc)

* Actionscript is a plus, but not required
